RÍO CELESTE

This is one of the most amazing places of Costa Rica, without a doubt. Magnificent turquoise blue waters together with all the nature that surrounds it make of Rio Celeste a place to admire.
Located at the skirts of the Tenorio Volcano, this river, unique in the country, astounds its visitors with its beauty. A circuit trail of 7 kilometers will take us along the forest, going through places of interest as are the “Teñideros” or dyers, which is the places where the river acquires this different color because of a chemical reaction.

  Besides that , we will visit “Las Ollas” which are fumaroles filled with mud and we will also go to a hot water spring.     
Further ahead we will find a waterfall of turquoise color which is the climax of our visit. On our way back we will keep walking along the river side while enjoying the bubbling water and its natural surroundings.

Departure time in the morning: 8:00am. approx. Return: 3:30pm.

What you’ll need to bring: Hiking shoes, comfortable clothing, swimsuit, towel, raincoat, repellent.
We’ll include: Transportation from hotel, entrance, certified nature guide, chocolates and hydrating snacks, water and drinks, lunch and supportive information materials.
