    We will hike on the National Park's wonderful trails for about 4 hours to admire the surrounding ecosystem of primary forest and volcanic fumaroles. With the help of our experienced nature guide we will discover different species of animals like deer, peccaries, howling monkeys, and birds like the toucan, the oriole, different hummingbirds, and also the umbrellabird.

    We will visit the Cerro Chato Crater Lake, where you can swim, take pictures and get to know the surroundings. The walk will end at La Fortuna Waterfalls, where we will descend to the river and enjoy the beautiful natural landscape.
     
     

  • Night Walk

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    The night walk takes place at the Ecocenter Danaus which is a small reserve which focuses on conservation and education. A visit to the center at night will offer you the opportunity to see some of the area's more prominent nocturnal animals in (inter)action such as sloths, caimans, spiders, frogs, bats, butterflies and birds.
     
     

  • Arenal Volcano Hiking

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    Our hike leads us over the Los Tucanes Trail, which crosses the rain forest and a large lava flow from 1992. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava formations. Once on top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the sunset over Arenal Lake.
     
     

  • Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    Situated close to the border of Nicaragua, the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge offers a wide variety of animals such as monkeys, bats, caimans, sloths and lizards as for example the graceful Basilisk or Jesus Christ Lizard. Above all, you will discover an incredible abundance of bird species as for example herons, cormorants, white ibises, hawks, and trogons as well as jaribus and roseate spoonbills.

  • Canyoning

    We trek through the forest on magical trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica, places only very few people get to experience. Along the way we will have the chance to discover the secrets that lie hidden deep within the canyon. From the first waterfall we will rappel down into the beautiful and pristine canyon below. The adventure includes four rappels; three are along waterfalls, and one along a dry rock face.
     
     

  • Venado Caves

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    For those who don't mind getting a little wet and muddy, this fascinating underground adventure will take you through a labyrinth of passages and chambers where you will see an interesting rock formation called "La Papaya", stalactites, stalagmites, bats, spiders and evidence that the caves were at one time at the bottom of the ocean.
     
     

  • Mountain Bike

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    Half Day Tour: This ride takes us on an old road connecting Arenal's Lake Dam with the main entrance to the Arenal Volcano National Park. Full Day Tour: This is our traditional tour around the north side of Arenal Lake. This road has very little traffic and offers the most relaxing ride through tropical forest full of monkeys and birds.
     
     

  • Combination Tour

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    This tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy all attractions of the Arenal region in a single day! You have the choice to visit either the Eco Center Danaus or the Arenal Hanging Bridges. Next stop is La Fortuna Waterfall, from the trailhead you will hike approximately 15 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall. Finally we visit the Arenal Volcano National Park. At Los Tucanes trail you will walk on affixed paths, but also on old lava flow itself. At the end of the hike we will enjoy the sunset, and hopefully see and hear the glowing chunks of lava tumbling down the mountainside.
     
     

  • Eco-Cultural tour towards San José

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    We start heading to Varablanca. The first hour of the travel leads through the fertile San Carlos plain. After passing Varablanca we drive into the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, where we find some of the most active volcanoes of Costa Rica. We will stop at La Paz Waterfall Gardens - a beautiful place which combines marvelous tropical forest and tropical gardens. Our last stop before going to San José is the pueblo Sarchí, which is well-known as the "cradle of the craft" in Costa Rica.
     
     

  • Ecocenter Danaus Tour

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    This walk takes place in a small reserve which focuses on nature conservation and education. You will see the Butterfly Garden and the Botanic Garden, which includes more than 600 species of plants. At their Frog Observation Center you can see tropical frogs, in particular the Red Poisonous Frogs and the Red Eyes Frogs. The Ecocenter Danaus also hosts a large biodiversity of mammals, reptiles, a great variety of insects and more than 150 different bird species.
     
     

  • Kayaking

    On this trip you can enjoy a day on the quiet waters of the Peñas Blancas River. You will be in "full contact" with nature as you paddle down this peaceful river. You can discover wildlife like monkeys, sloths, iguanas, crocodiles, butterflies and a huge variety of birds.
     
     

  • Monteverde

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    In the reserve you have the option of choosing between the SKY TREK and the SKY WALK, which both allow us to appreciate the great beauty of the Cloud Forest area, characterized by the enormous quantity of flora and fauna. We will visit the Botanical Garden to learn more about the great variety of plants found here in the reserve.

    Due to its great biodiversity, Costa Rica is a dream for every birdwatcher. Enjoy this area's avifauna with one of our specialized and experienced guides. Together you will spot many exciting birds including parakeets, parrots, tanagers and toucans in a beautiful and rich environment. If you already have some experience as a bird watcher, we can adjust the tour to your wishes and look for less common bird species which are possible to be spotted here as well.
     
     

  • Arenal Hanging Bridges

    This tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals. The trail crosses nine fixed and six suspension bridges, is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees and offers an easy hike that anyone can enjoy.
     
     

  • White Water Rafting in Sarapiqui River

    You will be able to view the scenic presence and unique beauty of the unexplored humid tropical forest while floating down the river, in a 2.5 hour trip. The river is located about 1,5 hours away from La Fortuna.
     
     

  • Río Celeste

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    The river is located in the Volcano Tenorio National Park, where we will begin a walk of 7 kilometers through the rain forest. We will visit "Los Teñideros", two springs of blue crystal water. On the way back we will find "ollas", which are fumaroles full with mud. Afterwards we continue walking to our last destination - a beautiful waterfall with crystal waters of celestial color.
     
     

  • The Waterfalls Route

    Region: Northern Zone
     
    We will visit La Paz Waterfall Garden which offers the biggest butterfly garden of the world, a hummingbird garden, a snake terrarium and a frog house. Afterwards we will visit the Río Cuarto Lagoon, and then continue on through the Los Bajos Del Toro Valley. This valley is a territory of crystal clear rivers, waterfalls, natural pools, pastures and forests. We will visit the Toro Waterfall next and then stop at Sarchí, well-known as the "cradle of the craft" in Costa Rica and famous for the elaboration of beautiful oxcarts and other handicraft work.
